The evening of CNY was spent at Sis's place for a movie. Abang rented 3 movies, and we ended up watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix first. As Sis and I were the 2 people who read all the books prior to the movie, we answered the questions that was posed about the movie. 11 of us watched the square screen and exchanged pointers about the movie, with snacks and CNY goodies on the table to munch on. We should do that more often!

So, being on the topic of movies, there are many movies lined up for release this year which I'm so looking forward to. My own personal list of must-catch on the silver screen –

1) SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
Release date: 5 Feb
Read the book. Wow. Expecting the same for the film coz, hey, its an award winning movie. Plus, AR Rahman’s the one behind the music score, so, this is one of those Bollywood-Hollywood collaboration to look out for.


2) THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON
Release date: 5 Feb
Brad Pitt. Enough said.

3) X-MEN ORIGINS – WOLVERINE
Release date: 30 Apr
Have been following the films, and can’t wait to see this one on one of the favourite X. Plus, Gambit is finally making an appearance! And a whole hour plus drooling on Hugh Jackman – what more can I ask for?

4) ANGELS & DEMONS
Release date: 14 May


Here’s one that I’ve been waiting for. I was thinking of how it would actually materialise as a film, coz the book is definitely one of my favourites. It’s mind-blowing plot left me turning page after page, and hoping the film will be as great as the book.

5) HARRY POTTER & THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE
Release date: 16 July


Read all 7 books. Watched all 5 movies. As usual, I’m gonna round up the whole mot crew for this.


Economic downturn or not, I’m still gonna have my doses of movie mania.
