An initial plan of a stay-home celebration was brought into a posh Spanish restaurant at CHIJMES,
The Esmirada.

The beautiful birthday girl and her Shirley Temple. Prior, she received very nice pressies (that's what she said!) from her children, Estee Lauder perfume and an Amore spa, massage and facial package.

Pre-food.

I just loved their display of fine wines at the corner where we sat.
I was pleasantly surprised by the superb romantic ambience, the friendly service and the yummy food.

Which was followed by a nice course of dessert, which intrigued me, really.

My first shot at creme bruellue. It was the most delightful thing to taste.

And I gulped down the tall glass of iced cappucino with kahlua. Non-coffee drinkers, ur advised to stay away from this drink as it might be hazardous to your health. Heh.
And of course, what's a birthday celebration without the cake-cutting ritual.

Happy 4*th birthday dearest Mum! May you stay beautiful and graceful as you are now. You've been a strong and deeply compassionate woman, wife, mother and grandmother.
After some table jokes and humour, we headed home, happy and.. bloated.

Good nite!
And she waves goodbye...
