It's been a week into my 6-week course at the Academy. First day, I was full of jitters, which is very rare of me. Confided Mum and she was also surprised. Maybe its the prospect of going into something totally different, and meeting totally different circle of people and learning totally new things. I made the journey there not knowing what to expect, and said my prayers all through it, hoping everything is gonna be fine.
The cold, hard building constantly reminds its residents of the strict air and regime that surrounds the environment. True enough, to gain entry, you have to be on the list of approved people, and there on the list, I saw my name. I gained entry and looked for the place where I was supposed to report to. Luckily I didnt get lost, thanks to the security guard.
I was the 3rd to come in, and while waiting for the rest, I made small talk with a new colleague. She has an air about her which said ,'Authority'. The rest of the morning went by with introductions, and of course, uniform fitting! Can't wait to wear that blue get up. We were issued with 3 polo tees which is to be worn during our training duration.
It felt like first day at school with course manuals and course mate phone number lists being handed out. But I felt really great. Coz by the end of the first day, everybody could get along with everybody. The gals are a nice bunch, and the guys are a wacky bunch. We have a Hady Mirza lookalike, a 'YP', some 'kakak aerobic'..haha..the variety. No pics as yet, hopefully will get one on Monday when we buka together as planned.
And the week went by with lectures, lectures, and more lectures! Many slept thru some lessons - a bunch of us even caught a colleague drool in class! And the best thing was that, he didnt even know we were watching him on the sly. All who saw stifled our laughter, with much difficulty. Haha!
The only letdown was knowing we have to go through an 8-day stay-in camp at the Academy and will be 'socialising' with other units. Oh well.
Looking forward to another week tho...
And she waves goodbye...
